Guest: Photojournalist Christy Bowe’s Eyes On History.

Christy Bowe is a member of the White House Press Corps and founder of the ImageCatcher News Service. Christy’s photos have been seen nationally and globally in publications including The Washington Post, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, Deutsche Presse, Scanpix Sweden, GQ Germany… to name just a few. When Christy first dipped her toes into the White House press pool, she made a connection with long-time White House reporter, Sarah McClendon. McClendon, was a legendary figure posing sharp, blunt questions at presidential news conferences. She owned McClendon News Service, and Christy began photographing for that agency. Christy honed her craft at the White House and Capitol Hill and has been a member of the Press Corps since President Clinton’s first inauguration. Christy’s career has brought her into the presence of Presidents, Royalty, national and international heroes, and icons, and A-List entertainment and sports legends. Her images tell a story and she is one of the great photojournalists of our time. Christy continues to cover the White House and Capitol Hill and has just published a book of photographs and behind-the-scenes stories called: “Eyes That Speak-One Woman News Photographer’s Journey With History Makers” ( $49.95 from Christy’s website & Amazon)
